The FAA has minimum time requirements for each pilot certificate.
We recommend planning to fly at least 2 days a week to stay proficient in your training. Flying this often will help you to complete your requirements in minimum time.
How do I choose a flight instructor?
Remember you are the customer, so find a school that treats you as such. Speak to different instructors and find the one you are most comfortable with. Connecting with an instructor is important to the success of your training.
Why choose Brown Aero?
We love teaching. Our instructors are not interested in building their own flight time but are most interested in your success. We are committed to customer service and provide a training plan that fits your goals and schedule.
Will I need a medical examination?
Yes, all pilots are required to maintain a medical certificate.
What do I need to buy?
Along with your flight and instructor time you will need to purchase training resources and pilot supplies. We will review these items with you during your first lesson or give us a call and we will be happy to discuss these needed tools with you.
What can I expect on my first lesson?
2 hours of fun. The first hour of the lesson will be spent discussing your goals and introducing you to Brown Aero and our training aircraft. The second hour of the lesson will consist of an introductory flight and a review of the FAA requirements for the pilot certificate you are seeking.
