Steve Swartz served as an aircraft maintenance and logistics officer (LtCol, USAF) and has over 40 years’ experience in safety, maintenance, and the economics of transportation systems. He holds an earned Ph.D. in Business Administration (Operations and Sourcing Management) from Michigan State University in 1999, and multiple subordinate degrees in aviation and aeronautical sciences. He has taught at the university level as research and instructional faculty at the Air Force Institute of Technology, the University of North Texas, and Auburn University. His research areas include behavioral aspects of transportation safety, and the economic effects of General Aviation airports on their served communities. Steve is an FAA certified Advanced Ground Instructor, Commercial Pilot (since 1992) and Certified Flight Instructor.

During his service he served as the Chief of Training for the U.S. Coast Guard's Aviation Center. After military service he became an American Airlines Captain on the Boeing 727 and retired after 13 years. Captain Robertson brings a wealth of experience in general aviation as well. He taught ATP, CFI and Commercial Pilot courses as Flight Instructor with American Flyers Flight Academy. Over the past 6 years he served as the Chief Pilot and Maintenance Director for TG Investments LLC. Captain Robertson has over 22,000 hours of flight time and is type rated in 9 different aircraft.

Morgan has been flying with Brown Aero since 2017, and is a Commercial Pilot and FAA certified Ground, Airplane (Land) and Glider Instructor.
Alex received a bachelor’s degree from Auburn University in Biomedical Sciences. Alex came for a discovery flight in March of 2018 and has since become a CFI/CFII Certified Flight Instructor with Brown Aero. She earned Advanced Ground Instructor and Instrument Ground Instructor licenses in 2019 and specializes in knowledge exam and oral exam preparation. Alex is also a member of the Alabama 99s.
Jon Castellanos is a FAA Certified Flight Instructor, Instrument Instructor, Multi-Engine Instructor, and holds an Airline Transport Pilot rating. He served as commander in the United States Air Force, leading flying organizations and airfield operations. Jon served as both instructor and evaluator pilot during his 25 year USAF career.

He flew the KC-135 StratoTanker, instructed Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training students in the T-37 Tweet, served as a Flight Safety Officer, and was the Chief of Human Spaceflight Support overseeing the last six Space Shuttle flights. Jon flew corporate aircraft following his Air Force career.
